IBM phoned me last October 21, Wednesday, of the previous week.. They scheduled me for an interview with the manager the following day.. I was the first one to arrive at the building where the interview was supposedly held.. A couple of hours more, 3 of the applicants had already arrived.. Ms. Erika Padua or Ms. Eka, gathered us 4 in a conference room and briefed us with the actual eventuality. And so from that small talk, we had acknowledge that a particular IBM department which is based at the cyberone building is just in need of 1.. So amongst us 4, only one would actually be accommodated by that particular department.. And so, "para kameng final four ng PBB na nasa Big Night ceremony.. ganito pala ang feeling.. wahaha!" The 4 of us were then forwarded to Ms. Angela Hong, a global quality management black belt, and she then initiated the interview.. After our interviews, we were told that we would just be informed through text or whatever means regarding the status of our application.. The following day, I received a message from Ms.Eka saying that I would be starting my ojt with the Center for Quality Management dept of IBM on October 27, Monday.. And I was asked to come the following day to have my contract signing.. woohoo..! I was that lucky to actually be chosen by the manager amongst us 4.. And I so thank God for such blessing.. Well, that's basically why I've not been able to update this site for the past week.. I've just been so busy regarding the ojt application I got myself in 'coz it's for the partial fulfillment of the requirements of my course to be able to be eligible for graduation.. But I promise to keep the posts coming.. I had my first day of ojt today.. I've met a portion of our team. The Center for Quality Management team or CQM and they've all been great to me.. Well, there are some points yet to be familiarized with.. a lot of getting used to I guess, like the simple tasks I need to be knowledgeable of.. But in time, I know I'd be able to accomplish them all.. I sure did have a great time on my first day.. Not bad at all, I should say.. I'd just be around with them for 400hrs.. I've got a flexible time sched, I could come and go home from there whatever time I want.. I have an allowance monthly.. ; ) But if we do the math, if I go there for like 9hrs a day.. I would end my intership just after 2mos and 1wk.. That's basically not so long from now so gotta enjoy every day of it.. Oh by the way.. I'm actually having my ojt in IBM Business services located at the 16th flr cyberone building eastwood city libis qc.. Drop by if you want.. haha =P
