Thank God I'm still ALIVE..!  That's the first thing I ever told myself after completely overcoming those 4 freakin' days of high fever, nagging cough and tonsilitis attacks.. Back then, I thought I was not getting any better.. And that soon, my family won't have any other option but to have me hospitalized.. For I wasn't really responding to usual tamper resistant meds such as biogesic and the like.. I've tried taking in cough tablets as well just to soothe my pulmonary tract so as not to aggravate whatever disease or virus that may had conquered my immune system.. But again, no luck..I told my aunt, who actually serves as the family's doctor, about this bad health I had been dealing with these past few days.. I readily brought up the idea that this may have been one of those tonsilitis attacks again.. Yet she still wants to be sure that it really is tonsilitis before she'd prescribe me a dose of antibiotics.. And for that mean time, she just told me to take in ASCOF Lagundi tablets which are medicinal plants used to treat cough, colds and even flu; take in lots of fruit juices and lots and lots of WATER..! And I lived by her words.. Yet no improvement on my part.. I can't help but to think of the mess this health breakdown has caused for this whole week. I had been out of the office for 3 consecutive days 'coz my body had not been able to fight well.. And as I lied on the bed, I told myself.. No one knows my body more than I do.. I was not improving with the meds prescribed for me.. I got no cure.. If I won't do anything now, when will I ever recover from this? So I asked my mom to go to the drugstore to buy the previous antibiotics I took whenever I get high fever due to tonsilitis attacks.. And it was ILOSONE. An antibiotic suspension that has an orange flavor for children and a strawberry flavor for adults.. When mom arrived, she handed me a different kind.. She told me that the brand that we usually buy had already gone obsolete.. And the drugstore agents just gave her ERYTHROMYCIN as a substitute for it.. Thus, this certain compound acts just the same as ILOSONE does.. So Friday night right after dinner, without my aunt's knowledge, I took it.. I knew I had to do this or else, I don't know when I'll ever regain my good health.. Within 8hrs my fever began to drop.. I finally started sweatin' out the toxins that may had incubated in my body.. I then started saying "Thank You LORD!" by heart for I was already in the midst of my death.. I felt like my body has been deteriorating slowly.. And if neither a solution would be obtained, I'd end up at the cemetery.. So the fever is gone.. yet I have another concern.. It was my tummy.. I felt like it was somewhat bloated and that it had unfavorable gases in it.. But I didn't focus much on it for I was celebrating my triumph over my ill health.. I had 2 more intakes of this antibiotic till I decided to have it brought back to the drugstore for a refund.. I soon encountered severe abdominal pains brought about by this drug and was panicking how worse it could ever get if I insist taking it.. By this time, I already lost my appetite.. It was part of the numerous adverse effects of this specific med.. And I bet, though I have my appetite, I could not endure to put anything in.. My tummy was so bloated and in no time, i felt like it was about to rapture.. Thank God the fever did not recur.. And I need not take any antibiotics again.. Sure I wouldn't take in anything of that kind again.. I swear..! Glad I'm back to my old self.. My real self.. Welcome back jC..!
