I’ve been to cavite for the last two days. Well, I was scheduled to have my annual retreat so whether I like it or not, I’m really obliged to join them. This year’s definitely a different one. I had to go with a different course and batch to a far place though I’m not even sure if I even know any of them. Keeping my hopes up for this retreat to be a success, I went to school and tried my best to just mingle with them. I boarded the bus leaving a vacant seat just beside me, still clueless of whoever would actually take it. Surprisingly, I saw some of my friends joining in. I saw 2 peepz from my course, my friends from psych, my friends from educ and some of my friends belonging to the majority of the retreatants (masscom). Karen took the vacant seat just beside me. Thank God! At least the ride won’t be a saliva-spoiling one!

And so.. we finally got there!

The place was really remarkable! The place was really spacious. The infrastructures were just newly built. The aura of the place was really beckoning! The facade and landscape of the place was really soothing. “What a lovely place to be in for a couple of days”.. That was the only thing I actually said to my self upon setting foot on the said place. Too bad I wasn’t able to take pictures of the said place, St. Paul Renewal Center, for the administration restricted us from bringing cellphones, digicams and anything else that could actually distract us from the world outside for they really wanted this 2-day retreat to be solemn moreso a time for us to achieve serenity within ourselves.

The whole place was hotel-like. The dining area was definitely gargantuan. It could actually accommodate more than a hundred retreatants. The conference area was really massive! And it actually looked like the conference halls which could be found in the senate. It also had gazebos! There were many of them scattered within the vicinity overlooking the great wonders of nature just around them. But the thing I love most were actually our rooms! Even shangrila hotel, manila peninsula, dusit hotel, intercontinental hotel were no match compared to ours! I really enjoyed staying there for I had so much time to regenerate the energy which I lost upon struggling in the outside world. There I had an ample time for myself. I was able to relax, live a life with ease, not worrying about anything that could actually beset me by the time we go home. And the best thing about it was.. That I didn’t have to share it with anyone else! Not like the others who come by pairs sharing in just a room! Haha ; )

In a nutshell, this 2 day retreat that I had in cavite was the best retreat I ever had! I met a lot of pleasantly true people who didn’t made it hard for me to survive the 2-day activity. They were really easy to go along with. They were really friendly that you’d feel you’re no different to them! Thus, it was really worth the experience! It was a place I’d always go back to if given a chance! ; )
