Today's the 8th day of August of our current year 2008.. And this perfectly corresponds to 08-08-08.. EIGHT.. A number which denotes LUCK to most of us. All hopes up! Wishing that by the end of this day we would all be able to say though amidst the grueling challenges our time, today had still been worth-living.

Well.. Best of luck for all of us. I guess..

But mine's quite different apart from what you guys may had in mind. It has nothing to do with luck, neither was it about getting married on this date nor was it about giving birth to someone on this very day that only happens once a century..

EIGHT signifies my late noble DAD. He was born on the EIGHT day of December of the year 1947. He was the EIGHTh, the youngest in a brood of EIGHT. And surely, 8 was one of his favorite numbers for it had definitely been part of his well-lived and memorable life.

And though apart from the connotations moreso expectations of most, going through this day had still been worthwhile for it had served as a commemmoration of my beloved dad, Colonel Domingo Abrera Alzaga's greatness. Thus, it was definitely worth-living.
