Time check.. It's now 10:59pm on my laptop. And now I'm starting to hear the violent outpour of raindrops on our roof. I bet Typhoon Santi has already arrived. Early this morning PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) had already placed the whole Metro and some other provinces on the course of Typhoon Santi's path under Public Storm Signal No.2 which automatically cancels the classes of Pre-School, Elementary and High School students for this day. But contrary to the Public Storm Signal that has been raised, the Metro had experienced a fair to a scorching afternoon kind of weather. Ironic indeed. How would you expect the people to prepare for its coming when they frankly could not convince themselves of any sign for a weather disturbance to soon arise? As though no apparent cyclone is to arrive, we went on with our day as mundane as we usually would. No changes of plans for this day either. We went all the way to SPUQC to have my youngest sibling enrolled for second sem. We were done around a quarter past 10am and from there we headed to Gateway for our lunch at Teriyaki Boy. There I enjoyed Chicken Tonkatsu with bottomless iced tea for my drink and got myself really full! And the rest is history! Tonight, Public Storm Signal No.3 is already observed within the Metro for in the recent weather forecast they've emphasized that its eye would directly hit our vicinity. Got really no choice but to apprehend the worst possible scenarios that might occur. With that in mind, the family had already worked on making the necessary preparations such as safekeeping of the appliances and other electrical equipments, securing and elevating the legal documents and other significant papers, and most importantly, packing the emergency kit that the family would gravely need in times of ruthless flashfloods. Done not out of paranoia but from our experience with previous Typhoon Ondoy. Better be all set than be SORRY! Let's just hope it won't be as catastrophic as Typhoon Ondoy. With God's grace we would all emerge victorious in this yet another turmoil that we all have to overcome. Just keep the faith! Be safe everyone!
